BCAAs improve recovery following a single bout of hypertrophy exercise in resistance-trained athletes 💪

Another interesting study coming out of St Mary's University by Waldron and colleagues (2017) looking at recovery following muscle damage-inducing exercise, this time on the benefits of BCAA supplementation 📈

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In addition to my own unpublished work on BCAAs, there seems to be more evidence suggesting that supplementing with BCAAs could have a benefit in terms of muscular recovery following damaging exercise 🤔

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Perhaps during normal resistance training sessions where damage is not excessive, BCAAs may not be required, however during intensified periods of training there may be a benefit ☝️
