Another interesting study coming out of St Mary's University by Waldron and colleagues (2017)ย looking at recovery following muscle damage-inducing exercise, this time on the benefits of BCAA supplementation ๐Ÿ“ˆ

In addition to my own unpublished work on BCAAs, there seems to be more evidence suggesting that supplementing with BCAAs could have a benefit in terms of muscular recovery following damaging exercise ๐Ÿค”

Perhaps during normal resistance training sessions where damage is not excessive, BCAAs may not be required, however during intensified periods of training there may be a benefit โ˜๏ธ
